Pattaya- Pattaya is a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast known for its beaches. A quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s, it’s now lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Burapha Golf Club- previously a members-only course, has hosted several professional tournaments including the 2010 Thailand Open and several Singha Thailand Championships. The 36 holes at Burapha have been designed to take full advantage of the beauty of the land and its natural features - lakes, hills, palms trees and tropical vegetation, all skillfully landscaped. Designed by Americans Gary Panks and David Graham; Burapha Golf Club is laid out on hilly terrain. The East (A-B) Course features wide fairways and is perfect for the up & coming golfer. The West (C-D) Course is a challenge for more advanced and professional golfers. The golf courses maintenance is adequate, and the holes are well placed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club- Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club was renovated in 2015 and has since hosted the Kings Cup (European Tour) and Thailand Open (Ladies European Tour) events in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Then in 2018, Pheonix Golf hosted both the Royal Cup (Asian Tour) and Ladies European Thailand Championship (LET). The European Tour returned in 2019. A robust Dennis Griffiths design, Pheonix plays on wooded, rolling terrain. This 27- hole Pattaya golf course comprises three nines - Ocean, Lake and Mountain, and has magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the Gulf of Thailand. Large mango, eucalyptus trees, and flowering shrubs add color and give a natural feel to the layout.
