Ao Nang Beach

Ao Nang is a popular beach in Thailand, located in the Mueang Krabi district in southern Thailand. It was once a backpacker spot but has now become a top tourist destination. The beach offers various activities like rock climbing, scuba diving, kayaking, and relaxing spa treatments. Ao Nang has a lively atmosphere, with quiet restaurants and lively pubs to enjoy in the evening. It's about 6 kilometers from Hat Noppharat Thara and 20 kilometers from Krabi town. Ao Nang is surrounded by beautiful beaches and 83 small islands, including Ko Poda and Ko Kai. These islands are perfect for snorkeling and diving due to their colorful coral reefs and fish.

Ao Nang Beach is a natural attraction, so it’s open every day. The activities like boat tours, snorkeling, and diving, usually run from morning until late afternoon. Additionally, the Nightlife in Ao Nang starts around 6 PM and goes until late.

You can take a bus from Krabi Bus Terminal to Ao Nang Pier. 

• By Taxi

A taxi ride from Krabi to Ao Nang takes about 15 minutes. A private taxi or minivan is a comfortable and fast way to travel from Krabi to Ao Nang. 

• By Car

If you are driving, it will take about 15 minutes to reach Ao Nang. Renting a car in Krabi lets you explore freely. 

• By Tuk-Tuk or Songthaew 

For a budget-friendly option, you can take a Tuk-Tuk or Songthaew for 50-100 baht.

The best time to visit Ao Nang Beach is from November to March. During this period, the weather is dry and has mild temperatures. It is perfect for beach activities like swimming, sunbathing, and island hopping. Avoid visiting from June to October, as this is the monsoon season. So, it brings heavy rainfall and rough seas. If you prefer sunny days and pleasant weather, the months from November to March are the ideal time to enjoy Ao Nang Beach.
